Well, my 4 day weekend is coming to an end. Somehow, I ended up being off starting on Saturday until today- it has been a MUCH needed break from work. I still had to house sit during it, which kind of stunk, but hey, I didn't have to actually work! Yay!! I really didn't do too much during my time off. I made some phone calls I've been needing to do, took Beamer on a great walk to the park and he swam in the creek, and I've been updating my iPhone's music and software.

I also groomed Beamer all up today. He got a bath outside this morning, followed up with my new dryer I got a few weeks ago. He looks great, in my opinion, with the tools I have. I still am in need of some thinning shears, which I'll pick up soon. But I'm am very pleased with the job I did on him.

I also picked up a N64 and a few games including: Pod Racer, Pokemon Snap, and Goldeneye! It works great and I am pleased to add it to my collection. I had one years ago but it had died. I still have my Paper Mario game, I'll have to dig it out and take it all with me to school. So, as of now, I currently own the major Nintendo consoles: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii. I still don't have a Wii U, but I'm sure I'll be buying one when the next Zelda game comes out for it.

I didn't get any of my room or the garage cleaned out, I guess I'll leave that for another day. Most of this weekend was spent just relaxing- I guess you could say I wasn't sure what to do with all that free time. I did also visit my dad and my step-mom this weekend and I saw Star Trek: Into Darkness for the 2nd time (note: it is even better the second time around!) And we had a good dinner at home.

To wrap up, here are some pictures of Beamer post groom today after a bath, dry, and trim.

This week at work was about 100 times better than last week. We were busy most days, and I like it to stay that way. A few days we were slow, so I left a bit early, which was good. We had an emergency pyometra surgery on a huge 140 pound, 4 year old english mastiff- I love watching those kinds of surgeries.

Anyway, yesterday I got to see one of my good friends- basically the only one I have left from the class I graduated with in high school. We went to a wedding together- I got an invite for it a few weeks ago. I was a bit shocked I was even invited to this wedding. It was for my best friend when I was in high school, but we aren't friends anymore. Nothing really personal happened to end our friendship. We basically just drifted apart after I went to Virginia Tech and she went to JMU. I haven't talked to her in about 4 years, and I really didn't feel comfortable going by myself. I'm glad Cassie was able to go with me.

The wedding started at 5:30 and I was worried the entire day about the rain- there was a 60% chance and it had been overcast all day. The rain held out, thankfully. It was an outside wedding at a beautiful manor. After the ceremony, there was a bar and appetizers. Much later after that was dinner and wedding cake. The entire time, she never once came over to say hello to us. I could tell she was even intentionally avoiding the situation. I really didn't mind at all, though it would have been nice to say something to her. We left at about 9:30 (right after the wedding cake). Festivities outside with dancing were just beginning, but we left before all of that. We didn't know anyone else there, anyway (though I of course knew her parents).

Finally got home at about 10 and then my friend left, it was really great to see her again and I'm sure we will hang out a few more times before I move in a few months.

Today, I'm going to go see Star Trek: Into Darkness with my mom and her fiancee. I am super excited to see it and I've heard it is excellent!

Wow, another update in a week?! Yeah, I felt this one is necessary. After the really shitty week I had last week, I'm glad to make this post. Today was a usual busy Monday. I don't remember sitting down at all except for my lunch break. We had 3 dogs that needed xrays this morning, and we had an emergency surgery this evening for a pyometra on a 140 pound English Mastiff who's uterus must have weighed about 5 pounds. I like to stay busy, so I was fine with it all. The new doctor who is just working on Monday's this month is really cool, I do enjoy working with her. She won't be staying, but I am glad to experience her way of doing things while I have had the chance.

I /think/ I have my NES all cleared up. Took it back to the store and of course, my power cord is broken, so I have to shell out another $10 for this thing. AND they wouldn't even let me use my 'reward card' for it... so it seems basically useless... great.

But other than that, life seems pretty good at the present moment. My mom and I have plans to see Star Trek: Into Darkness on Sunday (Can't wait!!!!) so I'm pretty pumped about that. I've also still been talking to this wonderful girl, well, just texting, but she is super nice. She's one of the reason's why I can't wait to get out to Columbia and meet this wonderful person, finally!

I also have to get new tires for my car this week, which sucks, but they have 55,000 miles on them and they have never been changed since we bought the car in 2006. It sucks that my whole paycheck this time has to go towards that, though.

Beamer was a good boy and helped me test out my grooming table this weekend, as well. He did great, of course, and looks fantastic (he always looks great to me). He'll do anything for food!

I am also questioning where the month of May has gone and I realized at work today that this Saturday is the 18th- my old best friend from high school is getting married. I wasn't sure I wanted to go as we aren't friends anymore, our friendship more or less just slowly crumbled apart. I am going, however, with my one remaining friend from high school to catch up with her, which is what I'm most excited about! I can't wait to see her!

Ok guys, can I just rant for a minute? Because I am really pissed at this whole situation. I have had an old NES that doesn't work, and when I heard there was a new video game store in town (that has all video games from even the older systems) I was excited. I found out that they fixed video game systems, too, so I took down my NES to them in February. I called about once a week for the month of March checking on it to see if there was any progress. I basically got nowhere with that, and then when April came, life got busy and I forgot about it.

This past week, I finally remembered to call again because I still hadn't heard anything from them. I talked to the repair guy and he said 'Oh, I didn't call you? I'm sorry, it's done.' Wow, great, thanks so much for the phone call. I was pretty pissed at this point that it had been over 2 months without a single word from them. The guy said he would bring it over the next day. So I go by there, and it isn't there. I get some lame excuse and they apologize again and say it will be there the next day again. So, I stop by again and IT STILL ISN'T THERE. Now I'm really pissed off at this point since I made two trips down there to see them. Later that night, I get a call that it is at the store.

Yesterday, I went down there to pick it up. The gave me this rewards card, which is kind of useless, as it only takes off $5 for a purchase (but I get five of these, so $25 total). I can only use one a day. But, they didn't screw the top back on my NES. Whatever, I take it and go.

Once I get home, I try my NES out AND IT DOESN'T WORK. I don't know what I should have expected after this entire mess. I mean, it actually working? Come on... I call the place and tell them it doesn't work and he said 'it was working earlier....' Yeah, I'd like to see proof of that. Not only does it not work, it actually seems WORSE than before. Before it took it in, the red power button would come on but nothing would play. Now, the light doesn't even come on (though it did flicker on and off a few seconds the first time I tried after I got it home, but not anymore).

I'm so done with this place, I just wanted my  NES fixed but it has turned into a 3 month mess with basically no compensation for it. I'll probably be taking it back over there today and reaming out some people. After the week I've had, I can't say I'm shocked by this, it is just icing on the cake.

In other news, other than that fiasco yesterday, I got to see Iron Man 3 with my co-worker and it was a great movie! I'd definitely see it again and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The ending kind of just leaves you hanging as to if there is going to be another one or not... we'll see. Now, I'm pumped for Star Trek: Into Darkness that comes out on Friday! I CAN'T WAIT to see that!

Well, I think I am finally ready to admit this in a somewhat public way. I've already talked to all my wives about it, but other than that, no one else really knows. I've come to the conclusion that I like women- thus far I am going to call myself a bisexual, but who knows what the future holds. Sexuality can be ever changing. This really isn't a new thought to me, I've been questioning myself ever since I started college, though only in the past year or so have I realized the truth. Sometimes the hardest person to admit something to is yourself.

I have no problem with my sexuality, I have always supported the LGBTQ community as well as equal rights. It feels a bit odd to now be apart of them, but, they are a great community and will give any support I may need. One of my friends has always been involved with them and has helped me through a lot of what I've been going through. Just talking to her and getting my feelings out throughout the past few years has been helpful to me. She's always been one I can talk about things with, so I am glad to have friends like her.

Last spring, I realized that I had a crush on one of my best friends. It took me a while to talk to her about it, but I am glad I did. She is super supportive, and although she doesn't feel the same way, she is still one of my best friends. It took me some more thinking and digging inside myself and almost a year's time to pass for me to realize that this is who I truly am and for me to get enough courage to tell my other two best friends. Both have been amazing as well, I expected no less, and one even guessed it anyway.

I'm still trying to get the courage up to tell my mom and sisters, though I know that they won't have any issues with it and be supportive of me. It is just swallowing my pride and saying it that is the hard part. I think I am going to wait until after I move to tell them; it will be easier that way- not being in person.

I've also started talking with an amazing girl who lives out in Columbia, Missouri! I can't wait to actually meet her in July when I move out there. She has been awesome to talk with so far and we are getting along very well. I'm hoping this can turn into something!

In other news, I ordered a new laptop and it was supposed to be delivered today, but I didn't get home in time to catch the UPS guy. It should be here tomorrow, I'm hoping! Plus my grooming table got here today and my dryer should be here tomorrow for Beamer boy! I just want this week to be over, work has been hell and I have a huge bruise to prove it.

This is my official welcome to my new blog! I had to move because I wasn't thinking when I signed up originally and it was put under an old email I just use for junk. It was really bothering me for months, but I am glad I am finally all moved and mostly everything seems to be the same, minus my posts not being there. Oh well! Thanks for reading, I'll probably be back sometime later this week with a pretty intense post.
