The final countdown

I'm typing this as my second to last day in Virginia is coming to a close. Today is the day that it really did finally hit me that I'm moving. A little late is better than never, I suppose. I guess it also doesn't help that yesterday I had a pretty bad day with one of my best friends (aka getting in an argument). I hope that things end up back to normal between us. But, not something I really want to go into at the moment.

But yeah, it really has come down on me hard today. I've been on the verge of tears a few times just for random reasons. I had to go to the bank and get this debit card mess cleaned up a bit (fraud on my old one, and the new one never came... so now I'm kind of stuck). Hopefully that new card will get to my new address next week. There are no Wells Fargo in the state of Missouri, so it's not like I can just go down to the bank anymore. I also stopped by work to say bye to everyone, as much as it pained me to do it since they didn't really do much for me in terms of a goodbye. I'm still bitter about it, but a few of them there I have become really close to, so it was good to see them before I left. It won't be until December that I see them again.

Also, Wednesday evening, one of the doctor's I work with did a photo shoot of Beamer and I out at Blandy farm (beautiful place). I saw some of the pictures and they are really gorgeous! I can't wait to see them all. I'm so glad she was able to do those for me and very grateful to her.

Mom had her going away party for me today, but it was mostly a family gathering, which was fine. I got a few wonderful gifts and a bit of cash to get me through when my loans come in. And, we packed a good amount of the truck tonight as well (that we picked up earlier today). Tomorrow, I am going to my dad's going away party at Great Falls park to see that side of the family. Then back here to pack the rest of the stuff in the moving truck. Sunday morning we begin our 14 hour adventure out to Missouri. I'm not quite sure I'm ready for this...
