IP6 over!

Blocks always seem to fly by in hindsight- yet another block can be checked off! We marathoned 10 exams in 2 weeks (4 of which were special path... do you think that was enough!?) Virology, Parasitology, and Bacteriology are now done. Special Path will continue onto next block. We now add on Pharmacology, Public Health, ER class, and a Business class. So... we will see how things go next week with these new ones. I can say I'm so glad for this previous block to be done. It was a lot of work... lots of exams (mostly 3 exam weeks and it just wore you down). Somehow, I did manage to do really well this block (much to my surprise!) All A's this block was not something I was anticipating; it was a great surprise after a long 8 weeks.
I'm taking a much needed break this weekend- went out to Olive Garden with friends last night for food and drinks. Then game night after that (redneck life, which was surprisingly fun!) Took the boys this morning to Devil's Icebox for a long walk- then to Petsmart for new toys/treats (and one halloween costume). Ended the day with searching for things to make my Marceline the Vampire Queen cosplay. I'm super stoked to be working on making the her bass guitar... I just need to find a way to be able to get it to fit in my suitcase for SDCC next year (because it won't completely intact).
So, that's been my past few weeks... busy studying for tons of exams. My poor boys have been a bit neglected. But, I hope to have made it up to them by the end of the weekend. Off to the dog park we go in the morning.
On that note of my boys- Fenway (my 6.5 month old puppy) has me a bit concerned... well- I've been a little concerned for a few months about potential kidney issues (or maybe another underlying issue). He has to go out a lot- much more than a normal pup at his age. When he urinates- it is always a lot of urine and looks very dilute. He also has an extremely sensitive stomach (I've finally found a food he does best on after a few mishaps of switching). And I still haven't found any treats that don't upset his stomach. I recently saw a post about one of his littermates (through the rescue) who was 70+ pounds and that made me even more concerned. My boy is about 45 pounds... so I made an appointment with the teaching hospital to get him checked out on Halloween. I was going to wait until March when he would have bloodwork run anyway for his neuter, but I think I'd rather just get this figured out (or if nothing is wrong... stop worrying) now. His foster mom contacted his other littermate owners- and she found out that only two of them are over 70 pounds- the other are around 50 pounds.
With Beamer- his Golden Retriever Lifetime Study appointment will be coming up anytime (whenever the kit gets to my house I'll schedule the appointment).
