Well, I just finished up week 2 of my second year of vet school. I can say this is 10x better than how I was feeling last year at this time. I've gotten things figured out how to study (well, mostly... still takes some tweaking with individual classes and professors every block), no anatomy is a major point, and only having 4 classes this block makes things a lot easier (though, they are all pretty challenging classes, minus BacT). I love our schedule- we get out 3 days a week at 1pm, 2pm on Thursdays, and only one late day of 5pm.
I'm able to go to my dog classes- Beamer is still in Agility class; we are currently in Beginning Handling class and really enjoying it! Beamer is doing really well in class, too. I've been very pleased with his progress. So much, that I've entered him into the Agility trial here in early November. We are going to be running in Novice- both Standard and JWW Saturday and Sunday in the preferred class (so he will jump slightly less than he would normally in just the regular classes). I entered just to see how an agility trial goes, and to have fun with Beamer.
Fenway just finished up his Pet manners 1 class and we are moving onto Foundations of Competition Obedience next week. I've been very happy with how he has been progressing as well. I'm hoping to have his behavior evaluation done soon (and passed) for the PALS club and then after that, his CGC.
I've also been pretty busy getting things planned for the PALS club as president. It is definitely taking a fair amount of time/work to get things planned. I am also running for Treasurer and Secretary for the new Therio club (so I hope to add that to my resume).
Anyway, not much else has been going on lately... so just wanted to update that little bit with 2nd year now in full swing.
